There are a few mistakes we all do during and after a hair wash, which will cause hair damage and hair fall. Here are the most approved methods of a Hair wash collected into a step-by-step flow. Enjoy!
1. Do not scrape your scalp using fingernails while shampooing or washing. This will cause the removal of the upper layer of the scalp, which will lead to easy hair fall.
2. Do not keep shampoo for too long. Keep the shampoo only until the scalp and hair are gently exfoliated, then wash it off ASAP.
3. Using conditioner after shampoo is a must, it is a moisturizer to the hair. After the strong content from shampoo, hair should cool down with conditioner.
4. Apply conditioner to the hair below the scalp area to avoid an oily scalp. Only the hair needs hydration. Keep massaging hair with conditioner until all the hair has reached conditioner. Keep the conditioner for 3-4 minutes on the hair for it to smooth down and seal back the cuticles opened from the shampoo, giving you smooth and shiny hair.
5. (If you're using water higher than room temperature) Reduce the water temperature to room temperature or below to wash off the conditioner. This will last long the moisturizing behavior on the conditioned hair.
6. After the wash, use a microfiber towel on the hair and squeeze the excess water. Here, making rapid and rough movements to wipe the water off from hair will damage hair and cause split ends. After a few squeezes, wrap the hair in a towel for 5 - 7 minutes to absorb excess water.
7. Do not comb the wet scalp. As the top layer of the scalp is now weak, avoid pulling hard or exploiting your hair. However, if you're in a hurry, comb your hair below your scalp area avoiding scraping the scalp.
8. Using a blow dryer after this is okay if you're in a hurry to dry the hair, but try to use low heat. Reduce heating hair as much as possible.
That's it :). If you keep practicing these steps, I promise that you will have stronger and healthier hair.. not too long!
